A visa refusal is the rejection of the application for a non-immigrant visa by the immigration authorities. (Learn more at— UK VISA REFUSAL SERVICES LINK—INTERLINKING THE ARTICLES)

The Sweden Visa costs 60 euros and the visa application process can take up to four weeks. The Swedish immigration authorities are called the Swedish Migration Agency and with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, Sweden is one of the top European destinations for the tourists.

Sweden is also a participant to the Schengen Agreement and thus has a common visa policy. Though, the Schengen visa does not guarantee access to all the Schengen states as the final decision is of the immigration officer at the state borders where they will ask for further documentation for validations.

The reasons for a Swedish visa refusal are on the same lines as that of the Schengen visa and there can be many reasons for a visa refusal but the most common factors are that the applicant withheld past criminal records, did not submit correct documents, does not have a valid passport, does not have sufficient funds to cover the expenses during the stay, does not have a valid letter of reference, is not able to justify the purpose of travel, has a bad history with the Schengen visa applications, is not able to prove a valid accommodation during the stay.

If you have been denied of the Sweden visa then you can lodge an appeal in the Swedish Migration Agency within three weeks from the day you were notified of the decision. If you do not agree with the appeal then you can forward your case to the Migration Court. In the meanwhile, you can either stay in Sweden if you received deportation, however, if you received the order of expulsion then you would have to leave Sweden immediately.

The solutions to a Swedish visa refusal are the same as that of the other Schengen states and so the solution is to either appeal under the Article 32(3) of the Visa Code if the applicant has a valid reason, or to file for a fresh application if he/she does not have any grounds for appeal.

The refusal of visa application is more common than you might think and the reasons and solutions for it are not that difficult to understand and follow, but it is always better to connect with qualified advisors at the time of visa application and rejection process in order to ensure that you are following the right guidelines and to increase your chances of obtaining a visa.
